HATAIKATOR: Two surrendered organisations, JAC and JARC, are set to launch a road blockade movement from 6 AM on June 24, 2026, to press their various demands, officials and organisers said.
Ahead of the planned agitation, leaders of the two outfits, led by convener Jibon Joy Riang, visited the Hataikator Bormora area on Monday to inspect the proposed blockade site and finalise arrangements for the programme.
The specific demands behind the planned agitation were not immediately disclosed. Local authorities have not yet issued any response regarding the proposed blockade.
The involvement of surrendered organisations in renewed agitation has drawn attention in the area, with residents expressing concern over potential disruption to road traffic and daily life from the morning of June 24.
