CHARILAM: Multiple people were injured after three vehicles collided head-on in the Bonkumari area of Charilam on Monday, allegedly while one driver attempted to overtake another.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision occurred when a vehicle tried to overtake another on the stretch, leading to a chain crash involving a third vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The impact left several occupants of the vehicles injured, with some reportedly sustaining serious injuries.
Local residents rushed to the spot soon after the accident and helped pull the injured out of the damaged vehicles before arranging for their transport to the nearest hospital for treatment.
