MANDAI: Construction of a CC road in the Shikarai Cobra area, under Dakdu Twisa Sub-Zonal within the 11-Mandai Bazar Assembly constituency, has remained stalled for a prolonged period, leaving residents to demand its swift completion.
According to a local resident who spoke to the media, work on the road began around eight months ago. However, after partial construction was completed, work mysteriously came to a halt, with no clear explanation offered to residents regarding the cause of the delay.
As a result, local people have reportedly been facing considerable hardship in their daily commute, with the incomplete road affecting movement in and around the area.
Residents have urged the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to resume and complete the construction work, stressing the need for better connectivity and reduced travel difficulties for the community.
No official statement has yet been issued by the executing agency or the local administration regarding the reasons behind the suspension of work.
