Rebati Tripura Bids Farewell to Politics, Returns to Teaching

AGARTALA: Former MP Rebati Tripura has bid adieu to political life and returned to the teaching profession, rejoining his former workplace, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Higher Secondary School in Agartala.

Tripura has resumed duties at the school as a Post Graduate Teacher (Political Science), a role he held prior to entering politics.

The return has been widely appreciated among teachers, students and well-wishers, many of whom view it as an inspiring example of stepping beyond the confines of politics to contribute to education and the building of a healthy society.

Colleagues at the school welcomed his return, noting his prior experience and rapport with students. Well-wishers said his decision reflected a rare instance of a public figure choosing to step back from political life to serve in a different, equally impactful capacity.

No official statement has been issued regarding the reasons behind his decision to step away from politics, though the move has generated considerable discussion in local circles.
