Agartala: The 80th Independence Day was observed with due dignity at the Chief Minister’s residence here, as part of celebrations marking eight decades of India’s independence.
The occasion was marked by the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, with officials and staff members in attendance to commemorate the historic day. The event reflected the spirit of patriotism observed across government establishments throughout the state.
Those present paid tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters, reaffirming their commitment to the values of unity, progress, and democracy upheld since independence.
The observance at the Chief Minister’s residence formed part of a series of Independence Day programmes held across various government offices and institutions in Tripura, as the state joined the rest of the country in celebrating the occasion.
