Agartala: The 80th Independence Day was observed with due dignity at the BJP state office here, as part of celebrations marking eight decades of India’s independence.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the event, along with BJP Pradesh President Abhishek Dev Roy and other senior party leaders and workers.
The occasion was marked by patriotic fervour, with leaders paying homage to freedom fighters and reflecting on the nation’s journey since independence. Party workers and officials gathered in large numbers to commemorate the historic day.
Speaking on the occasion, senior leaders reaffirmed the party’s commitment to national development and the ideals of unity and progress championed by the country’s founding leaders.
The event formed part of a series of Independence Day programmes held across Tripura, with various political parties and organisations marking the occasion at their respective offices and public venues.
