Agartala: Independence Day was observed with due dignity at the CPI(M) state headquarters here, as party leaders and workers gathered to mark the occasion.
CPI(M) State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury hoisted the Indian national flag, in keeping with the tradition observed at party offices across the state. The flag hoisting was followed by a solemn atmosphere as attendees paid tribute to the nation’s freedom struggle.
All those present at the event recited the pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the values of unity, secularism, and democracy on the occasion of the nation’s independence.
The observance formed part of a series of Independence Day programmes held by various political parties across Tripura, with the CPI(M) joining other organisations in commemorating the historic day.
