Agartala:CITU State Secretariat member Nirmal Roy has alleged that adequate safety security measures are not being provided to construction workers at the Narsingarh Law College construction site. The allegations emerged following a site inspection conducted on Sunday.
Roy, accompanied by two MLAs, Sudip Sarkar and Nayan Sarkar, visited the construction site to assess working conditions for laborers employed at the facility.
According to the allegations, workers at the site are reportedly being denied basic safety protocols, raising concerns about their occupational welfare and workplace security during the construction process.
The visiting delegation’s inspection highlights ongoing concerns regarding labor safety standards at infrastructure projects across the state. CITU, as a labor rights organization, has been vocal about ensuring adequate protective measures for construction workers in various developmental projects.
The involvement of two sitting MLAs alongside the CITU representative underscores the political and administrative attention being directed toward this issue.
