Agartala:MLA Bhagaban Chandra Das of Pabiyachhara Assembly Constituency participated in a power weeder distribution program organized by the Kumarghat Agriculture and Horticulture Department, aimed at supporting farmers across the subdivision through modern agricultural technology.
Addressing the gathering, Das stated that the initiative’s primary objective is to enhance farmers’ productivity while saving time and labor, ultimately fostering greater financial self-reliance among the agricultural community.
The MLA emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both central and state governments have been working consistently toward farmer welfare and the expansion of modern agricultural practices across the country.
Das reiterated the government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare, stating that agricultural development remains central to the prosperity of villages and the nation as a whole.
The distribution program forms part of ongoing efforts to modernize farming practices in Tripura, equipping cultivators with equipment designed to improve efficiency and reduce manual labor burden.
Officials from the Agriculture and Horticulture Department were present during the event, which is expected to benefit numerous farming households in the Kumarghat subdivision through improved access to mechanized farming tools.
