AGARTALA: The Tripura Olympic Association (TOA) held a press conference here to address allegations of irregularities in the selection of national hockey players, while also outlining preparations for hosting the gymnastics competition at the upcoming 39th National Games.
The meeting, held at the NSRCC auditorium, was attended by TOA president and Padma Shri awardee Dipa Karmakar, the Olympian gymnast, along with association secretary Sujit Roy and other officials.
Addressing the controversy surrounding the hockey player selection process, the association clarified its official position on the matter, though specific details of the response were not immediately disclosed.
