Kailashahar:Sai Computer Limited, the private organisation that has been providing electricity services in Kailashahar subdivision for the past seven to eight years, once again set an example through social service by organising a free health camp for its employees and customers.
Held at the premises of the Electricity Department office in Kailashahar town with the cooperation of the Unakoti district Labour Department, the camp saw specialist doctors offer free health check-ups and medicines to attendees. Employees and customers of the organisation availed themselves of various medical facilities during the camp.
The company, which employs over five hundred workers to maintain uninterrupted power supply in the subdivision, has a long history of social welfare work, including distributing food and clothes to the underprivileged during the COVID-19 pandemic and during Durga Puja, along with organising blood donation camps and tree plantation drives throughout the year.
Townspeople noted that no private organisation in Kailashahar had previously undertaken such an initiative, expressing satisfaction over the free distribution of costly medicines alongside the health check-ups.
A woman official of the Kailashahar branch of Sai Computer Limited said such social welfare activities by the organisation would continue in the future as well.
