Kailashahar:An intellectuals’ conference was organised on Wednesday afternoon by the BJP Unakoti District Committee at Vivekananda Hall in the Sriramapur area of Kailashahar, on the occasion of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
State OBC Corporation Chairman and Unakoti District Magistrate Mrinal Kanti Nath attended the conference as chief speaker. Also present were Unakoti District Council member Bimal Kar, State Waqf Board Chairman Mobashwar Ali, Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya professor Sanjib Chowdhury, senior party functionary Gopal Mallik, and several other officials.
The conference began with the lighting of a lamp and floral tributes offered before the portrait of Bharat Mata. A record number of employees from various government departments attended the event, all of whom were felicitated with ceremonial scarves (uttariyo). Unakoti District Council member Bimal Kar delivered the welcome address.
All speakers at the conference spoke on various achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continuous twelve-year tenure. As the chief speaker, Mrinal Kanti Nath presented a detailed account, backed by data, of the country’s progress and the strengthening of its economy under Modi’s leadership.
The event saw active participation from government employees and local dignitaries, reflecting the BJP’s outreach efforts under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign across the district.
