AGARTALA: A special team from Tripura will soon visit Jaipur to look into and resolve ongoing electricity-related issues, State Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath announced today after chairing a review meeting at the office of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL).
During the meeting, the minister reportedly held detailed discussions with senior officials of the corporation regarding the power supply situation in West Tripura, Sepahijala, and Khowai districts, which have been witnessing service-related complaints.
Minister Nath is said to have directed officials to expedite measures to improve electricity distribution and address technical snags affecting consumers in the three districts. The proposed visit by the special team to Jaipur is expected to focus on studying best practices or sourcing solutions to strengthen the state’s power infrastructure, though specific objectives of the visit were not immediately detailed.
The minister emphasised the need for a time-bound resolution of pending issues and instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply, particularly during the ongoing monsoon season when technical faults are more frequent.
Details regarding the composition of the special team and the schedule of the visit are awaited.
