Dharmanagar: An unexpected incident at Dharmanagar District Hospital in North Tripura on Wednesday created panic among patients, doctors, and healthcare workers. A man who had come to the hospital for treatment suddenly attacked another individual present on the premises.The incident caused a brief commotion inside the hospital. The victim sustained minor injuries in the attack. People present at the hospital quickly intervened and attempted to bring the situation under control.Upon receiving information about the incident, police from Dharmanagar Police Station rushed to the hospital and promptly managed the situation.The accused individual was taken into police custody.
Preliminary investigation later revealed that the accused is mentally unstable and has been suffering from mental health issues for some time. Police are continuing their inquiry into the matter while ensuring the safety and security of patients and hospital staff.
