AGARTALA: The Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress marked Raksha Bandhan by organising a rakhi-tying programme at several police stations across the state, aimed at conveying a message of brotherhood and communal harmony.
As part of the initiative, Mahila Congress leaders and workers visited various police stations and tied rakhis on the wrists of police personnel, extending good wishes for their duty and service to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahila Congress leaders said Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival but a symbol of love, mutual respect, security, and fraternity. They called upon citizens to come together in fostering peace, harmony, and unity within society.
The programme, held across multiple police stations, drew visible enthusiasm from Mahila Congress leaders and cadres, with police personnel welcoming the gesture warmly.
