Industry Owners’ Body Forms New Panel, Honours Bright Students, Runs Health Camp

AGARTALA: The Tripura Industry Owners’ Association organised a special programme at Uddyog Bhawan in the Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex, where a newly elected 13-member committee was formed to strengthen the organisation’s activities going forward. Committee members discussed various industry-related issues and stressed expanding the body’s work in the coming days.

A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of meritorious students among the children of workers and employees from various industrial units, honoured for their academic achievements. The gesture, aimed at encouraging workers’ families to pursue education, drew appreciation from those present.

A health camp was also held alongside, offering check-ups and medical advice to the public as part of efforts to boost health awareness and access to basic healthcare.

Among those present were TIOA general secretary Pan Gopal Saha, Longtrai Gura Master head Ratan Biswas, Tripura Merchants Association general secretary Sujit Roy, and Tripura Steel Industry head Bishal Solanki, besides other office-bearers, industrialists and dignitaries.

Speakers underlined the need to focus on the welfare of industrial workers and their families alongside the state’s industrial growth, pledging more initiatives in education, health and social responsibility ahead.
