Delhi Dharna: Tripura Congress Leaders Join Protest, Demand Action Against CEC

Agartala/New Delhi: Tripura Congress leaders joined a protest in New Delhi, demanding action against the Chief Election Commissioner.

The leaders travelled to the national capital to take part in the demonstration, which was held to press the demand for action against the head of the poll body. They joined party colleagues and supporters from other states at the protest site.

The participants raised slogans and called for accountability, saying the credibility of the election machinery must remain beyond question. They argued that the independence and impartiality of the Election Commission are essential to the health of democracy.

The protest forms part of the Congress’s wider campaign on electoral issues at the national level. The party has repeatedly raised concerns over the conduct of the poll body and has sought institutional reforms to strengthen public trust in elections.

The participation of leaders from Tripura reflects the state unit’s backing for the national leadership’s stand. Party workers in the state have also been following the developments closely.
