AGARTALA: Residents of Ghoshpara, under Booth No. 58 in Aralia’s Ward No. 27, have raised a fresh complaint over the deplorable condition of their road, alleging that local councillor Subhash Bhowmik has failed to act despite repeated appeals.
The grievance comes amid a growing pattern of complaints surfacing against ward councillors across the city, not just in remote rural pockets. Mayor Deepak Majumder has reportedly been conducting near-daily inspections of wards, and with elections drawing closer, residents say more such complaints are now coming to light.
Speaking out early Friday morning, Ghoshpara residents alleged that the road in question has turned into a “death trap,” and that repeated requests to the councillor have yielded no results. Frustrated by the lack of action, they have appealed directly to the Chief Minister to intervene and have the road repaired, saying it is a matter of safety for the entire locality.
This follows a similar complaint raised earlier from Monika Para in the same area.
