Agartala: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will attend the Har Ghar Tiranga Rally and Partition Horror Remembrance Day programme scheduled to be held at Rabindra Hall, MBB College, Agartala, at 11:30 AM today.
The event forms part of the state’s ongoing observance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, aimed at fostering a sense of patriotism among citizens by encouraging households across Tripura to hoist the national flag. The programme will also mark Partition Horror Remembrance Day, commemorating the sacrifices and sufferings endured during the Partition of India.
The Chief Minister’s participation underscores the state government’s continued emphasis on national integration initiatives alongside remembrance of historical events that shaped the country’s journey to independence. Officials said the rally is expected to see participation from students, faculty members of MBB College, government representatives, and members of the public.
The dual observance at Rabindra Hall is among several such programmes being organised across the state as part of the broader Independence Day commemorations, reflecting the administration’s effort to weave together celebration of freedom with remembrance of its historical cost.
