CITU to Hold Rally, Public Meeting in Dharmanagar on August 10 as Part of “Jail Bharo” Agitation

Dharmanagar: The Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Committee of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) will organise a procession and public meeting on August 10, as part of the ongoing statewide “Jail Bharo” (Fill the Jails) movement.

The programme has been taken up by the sub-divisional unit as part of a broader agitation being carried out by CITU across the state. Party workers and supporters are expected to take part in the march, which will culminate in a public meeting where leaders are likely to address the gathering on the objectives of the movement.

The “Jail Bharo” agitation is part of a series of protest programmes being carried out by trade unions and left-affiliated organisations, though the specific demands and grievances behind the current phase of the movement have not yet been detailed by the organisers.
