AGARTALA:The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Tripura Prant, in collaboration with Bajrang Dal’s West Tripura District unit, organised a blood donation and tree plantation programme on Sunday as part of the ongoing Seva Saptah observance.
The event drew participation from local residents and volunteers, who came forward to donate blood as part of the community health initiative. Alongside the blood donation camp, a tree plantation drive was also conducted, reflecting the organisations’ stated focus on both social welfare and environmental awareness during the week-long service campaign.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder attended the programme, along with several other dignitaries and members of the VHP and Bajrang Dal, according to organisers.
Seva Saptah is observed annually by VHP and its affiliate organisations across the state, typically featuring a series of community service activities including health camps, cleanliness drives, and plantation programmes aimed at fostering civic engagement.
