Blood Donation Camp Marks Unnayan Sangha’s 74th Foundation Day

Agartala: A voluntary blood donation camp was organised here on Sunday to mark the 74th foundation day of Unnayan Sangha, drawing participation from senior dignitaries and local residents alike.

Held at the club premises, the programme was attended by Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, along with club officials and other distinguished guests.

Speaking on the occasion, the importance of blood donation was highlighted, with an appeal made to the public to come forward in support of the humanitarian cause. Dr. Saha, who has repeatedly emphasised the role of voluntary blood donation in saving lives, also urged the youth and clubs across the state to take a more active role in social welfare initiatives.

The camp, organised by the club authorities, witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents as well as club members, reflecting strong community support for the cause.

Describing blood donation as one of humanity’s greatest services, organisers said the initiative was a fitting way to mark the foundation day, tying the celebration to a larger message of social responsibility. Unnayan Sangha said such programmes would continue as part of its ongoing commitment to social causes.
