Agartala: Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha has stressed the need for enhanced coordination between the state administration, police and the Border Security Force (BSF) to further strengthen the state’s border security mechanism.
Directing the administration to remain vigilant and proactive, the Chief Minister said measures must be taken to ensure that no illegal activities, smuggling or criminal acts take place along the border, even as security in border areas is reinforced.
Describing border security as a matter of critical importance, Dr. Saha said regular communication and coordination among the state administration, police and BSF would enable swift action against any untoward situation. He called on all concerned agencies to work in tandem to ensure comprehensive security in border areas.
The Chief Minister further spoke of the need to take necessary steps to strengthen the safety of residents in border areas, improve the law-and-order situation, and reinforce administrative mechanisms overall.
He maintained that border security could be further consolidated only through a coordinated approach involving all stakeholders, adding that sustained cooperation among agencies remains key to addressing security challenges in sensitive border regions effectively.
