Sabroom: An 85-year-old resident of Satchand Dano Chowdhury Para under Sabroom subdivision, Joy Kumar Tripura, has alleged that his government pension has remained unpaid for the last three to four months, causing him severe hardship.
According to Joy Kumar Tripura, he has repeatedly visited various government offices in an attempt to resolve the issue but has yet to receive any satisfactory response. He claimed that while newly approved beneficiaries are receiving their pension payments regularly within the first few days of every month, many long-time beneficiaries have not received their dues for several months.
The elderly beneficiary stated that he relies heavily on the pension for his daily livelihood. The prolonged suspension of payments has placed him under significant financial strain, making it difficult to meet basic needs.
Joy Kumar Tripura has appealed to the concerned authorities to release the pending pension amounts at the earliest and ensure a permanent solution to the problem.
Local residents have also urged the administration to investigate the matter and take prompt action so that senior citizens and other eligible beneficiaries do not continue to face unnecessary difficulties.
