Josh Mode On: West Tripura Team Launches Drive for a TB-Free India

AGARTALA: The journey of the “Josh” team has begun in West Tripura with the aim of building a Yakshamukta (tuberculosis-free) India.

A programme to mark the launch was held in the district, attended by officials and guests who were felicitated with traditional Tripuri scarves. A speaker addressed the gathering on the initiative, while a stage backdrop showed images from the national TB-elimination effort.

Tuberculosis remains a major public health challenge in the country, and the national campaign relies on early detection, timely treatment and community awareness to bring down the number of cases. District-level teams play a central role in tracing patients, ensuring they complete their treatment and spreading awareness at the grassroots.
