AGARTALA: Tollywood stars Dev and Subhashree Ganguly arrived in Agartala on Tuesday to promote their upcoming film DeSu7, drawing plenty of excitement among fans in the city.
The film marks Dev’s directorial debut, and he is also producing it. It is scheduled for release on October 16, timed for Durga Puja. Speaking to journalists at Rupasi SSR, Dev said the story is designed to tap into the nostalgia around the hit Dev-Subhashree pairing.
The actor-filmmaker also reached out to Tripura’s creative community. He invited local artists to showcase their talent and said he plans to collaborate with them. He is also scouting scenic locations in the state for future projects. Dev noted that cinematic craft and technical skill have advanced remarkably in recent years.
A public promotional event was also planned at Children’s Park, where the duo was expected to meet fans.
The reunion has fuelled anticipation among Bengali cinema lovers in Agartala, many of whom are eager to see whether the film can recreate the magic of the pair’s earlier hits.
