Field of Neglect: Ambasa School Ground Left in Ruins After Fair, Now Faces Brick-Breaking

AMBASA: The playground of the Ambasa Chandraipara Dwadash Shreni School has been left in a state of disarray a month after an Anondomela (fair) concluded on its premises, with organisers allegedly yet to fully clear the ground.

Adding to residents’ concerns, brick-breaking work has reportedly begun on the same ground even as clearance from the fair remains incomplete, according to local accounts.

The development has drawn concern from the area’s residents, who say the ground served as the only accessible playing space for the locality’s children and adolescents. With the field now occupied by construction-related activity, that space is no longer available, sources said.

It remains unclear who authorised the fair’s continued occupation of the ground beyond its scheduled duration, or who sanctioned the brick-breaking work currently underway. Local authorities and school officials have not yet issued a statement on the matter.
