Udaipur: Tripura Police’s Acting DGP G.S. Rao on Friday inspected RK Pur Police Station and the Women’s Police Station in Udaipur sub-division to review the local law and order situation. The 1999-batch IPS officer was formally welcomed by police personnel upon arrival.
During the visit, Rao toured various sections of both stations and took stock of overall functioning, police services, case progress, and the law and order situation. He also met with officers and staff, stressing the need to build stronger ties with the public.
Addressing the media later, Rao said the police’s primary objective is to reach closer to the people and respond more proactively to their problems. He said special focus would be given to anti-drug operations, issues concerning women’s safety, and law and order enforcement across the state, adding that the administration would take stronger steps to make society drug-free and ensure women’s security.
The inspection drew notable attention within police circles, with officials terming such visits significant in building public trust and making police services more responsive and people-oriented.
