AGARTALA: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will grace the inauguration programme of the Development and Beautification project of Shib Bari Pond, located at Shiv Bari, Central Road, Agartala, tomorrow, July 11, at 4:30 PM.
The project forms part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to upgrade urban infrastructure and enhance civic amenities in the capital city, with a focus on preserving and beautifying water bodies of historical and religious significance. Shib Bari Pond, located adjacent to the well-known Shiv Bari temple on Central Road, is a prominent landmark frequented by devotees and residents alike.
The beautification initiative is expected to include improvements to the pond’s surroundings, aimed at enhancing its aesthetic appeal and functionality for the local community. Such projects have typically been undertaken by the Agartala Municipal Corporation in coordination with the state Urban Development Department.
