TELIAMURA: The Teliamura Sub-Divisional Administration has issued an appeal to residents of flood-affected and at-risk areas to move to relief camps set up in the region, amid the ongoing flood situation caused by the rising water level of the Khowai River.
The administration’s announcement urged citizens, particularly those living in low-lying and riverside localities, to take shelter at the designated camps without delay, in the interest of their own safety.
Officials reiterated that adequate arrangements, including food, drinking water, and other essential services, have been made at the relief camps to accommodate displaced residents.
Authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and avoid unnecessary risk by relocating promptly if advised to do so.
Further updates on the flood situation and relief measures are expected as monitoring continues.
