Agartala Weather Centre Issues Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall Warning

AGARTALA: The Agartala Meteorological Centre has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall across parts of Tripura, cautioning residents to remain alert amid the ongoing spell of monsoon activity in the state.

The warning comes as several districts continue to grapple with flooding and waterlogging following days of continuous rainfall, with rivers including the Khowai, Manu, and Juri already reporting rising water levels.

Meteorological officials have advised residents, particularly those in low-lying and riverside areas, to stay cautious and follow safety guidelines issued by the local administration.

The district administration has been urged to remain on standby to handle any further deterioration in the weather situation, with relief and rescue teams already active in several flood-affected areas of the state.

Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated on further advisories from the weather department.
