MOHANPUR: A surprise inspection drive by the Mohanpur sub-divisional administration on Thursday uncovered irregularities at a ration shop and a school under Bijoynagar Gram Panchayat, prompting the SDM to announce that official action would be taken.
Led by Mohanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate Santanu Bikash Das, the inspection team visited multiple ration shops, anganwadi centres, and schools in the area. During the drive, the Bijoynagar-2 ration shop was found closed during its designated operating hours, while certain irregularities were also detected at Bijoynagar S.B. School.
SDM Santanu Bikash Das said departmental action would be initiated against those found responsible for the lapses. He further stated that such surprise inspections would continue in the coming days as part of efforts to ensure accountability in public service delivery across the sub-division.
