AGARTALA: The SUCI(C) on Thursday submitted a deputation to the Director of Health Services, raising an eight-point charter of demands, including the upgradation of infrastructure at GBP Hospital, the state’s premier medical facility.
Party representatives handed over the memorandum highlighting long-standing infrastructural gaps at the hospital, which serves as the primary referral centre for patients across Tripura. Details of the remaining demands in the charter were not immediately available.
The submission comes amid growing public concern over healthcare facilities in the state, following recent criticism from opposition parties over doctor shortages and service delivery issues at GBP Hospital.
