BJP Announces New District Presidents for Khowai and South Sepahijala

Agartala:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced changes to its district leadership on Thursday, naming new presidents for its Khowai and South Sepahijala district committees.

Samir Das has been appointed as the new District President of Khowai, while Prasenjit Ghosh has been given charge as President of the South Sepahijala district committee. The announcement was made by BJP state General Secretary Bipin Debbarma in an official statement issued on Thursday.

The leadership reshuffle is seen as part of the party’s broader organizational restructuring at the district level, a process typically undertaken ahead of key political and electoral activities. Party sources indicated that the newly appointed presidents are expected to take charge of strengthening the party’s organizational network and outreach within their respective districts.

Both Das and Ghosh are expected to play a key role in coordinating party activities, membership drives, and ground-level mobilization in their districts in the coming months. The BJP has not indicated any specific reason for the change in leadership at this time.

Further announcements regarding organizational appointments in other districts are expected to follow in the coming days as part of the party’s ongoing restructuring exercise.
