AGARTALA : Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several school buildings at an event held at PM SHRI AD Nagar English Medium School in Agartala. At the same event, the Chief Minister formally launched the NAKSHA project and inaugurated an initiative to introduce virtual classrooms in 240 schools across the state.
The initiative is expected to further expand technology-driven modern education in the state’s schools. Virtual classrooms, in particular, are expected to give students in remote areas access to modern learning opportunities.
Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, MLA Minarani Sarkar, Corporator Alok Roy, along with education department officials, teachers and other dignitaries, attended the event.
Enthusiasm was visible on the school premises during the event. The Chief Minister said the state government has been continuously undertaking various initiatives to make the education system more modern and technology-driven.
