BELONIA: A one-year-old child, Agam Das, died at his home in the Ishwan Chandra Nagar area on Saturday morning after food became lodged in his windpipe, plunging the locality into mourning.
On receiving news of the incident, local MLA Dipankar Sen rushed to Belonia Hospital and met with the child’s father, Amrit Das, to offer condolences. The MLA expressed deep grief over the child’s death and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family.
The sudden death has cast a shadow of sorrow across the entire area, with neighbours and residents expressing shock at the tragic incident. Locals gathered at the family’s residence to offer their support in the aftermath of the loss.
Authorities have not indicated any further inquiry into the incident, which appears to have been a tragic accident.
