AGARTALA: The CPI(ML) on Tuesday submitted a deputation to the Human Rights Commission demanding justice for families affected by communal violence in Kadamtala area of North Tripura district and Gandatwisa in Dhalai district.
In their memorandum, party representatives alleged that the violence was organised with state patronage, describing the incidents as unprecedented in nature. The party demanded that the investigation into the incidents be completed at the earliest and that complaints filed by affected families be resolved without delay.
CPI(ML) leaders reportedly urged the Human Rights Commission to ensure that justice is delivered to the victims and that accountability be fixed for those responsible.
There was no immediate response from the state government or administration regarding the allegations raised by the party.
