Yuva Morcha Stages March in Agartala, Alleges Insult to Vande Mataram

Agartala: The state unit of the Yuva Morcha organised a protest march on the streets of Agartala on Sunday, alleging that the Indian National Congress had insulted the national song “Vande Mataram.”

Party workers and supporters assembled before taking out the march, raising slogans against the Congress over the alleged incident. Participants carried placards and banners expressing their objection, describing the act as disrespectful to the sentiments of the nation.

Leaders of the Yuva Morcha addressed the gathering, asserting that any perceived disrespect towards national symbols and songs would not be tolerated. They demanded a public clarification and apology from the Congress leadership over the matter.

The march passed through key areas of the capital, drawing attention from onlookers and passers-by, before culminating with speeches reiterating the organisation’s stand.

Organisers said the demonstration was intended to register their protest through democratic means and to highlight what they termed as a pattern of disregard for national sentiments by the opposition party.
