Jampuijala: A young woman was found dead at her boyfriend’s residence in the Bankumari area under Jampuijala subdivision on Tuesday, triggering tension in the locality after the deceased’s mother reportedly created an uproar at the house, alleging foul play.
According to local sources, the woman, who was reportedly in a relationship with the man at whose house she was found, had allegedly come to visit him shortly before her body was discovered. On learning of her death, the woman’s mother reportedly rushed to the boyfriend’s house and created a scene, accusing the family of involvement in her daughter’s death — though no formal allegation or complaint has been officially confirmed at this stage.
The exact cause of death remains unclear, and police are yet to ascertain whether it was a case of suicide, accident, or foul play. The matter is currently being investigated by local police, who are expected to record statements from family members and witnesses.
