Agartala: A 22-year-old woman was found dead at her residence in Badharghat Sripalli under AD Nagar Police Station, following an alleged dispute with her fiancé, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Priya Deb, who was reportedly in a long-term relationship and was expected to get married soon.
According to preliminary information, Priya had an argument with her fiancé shortly before the incident. Family members later found her unconscious inside the house and immediately informed the police.
Police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem examination.
The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation, examining all possible angles to determine the circumstances leading to the woman’s death.
Authorities said further action will be taken based on the findings of the post-mortem report and the ongoing investigation.
