UNITED NATIONS: India has rebuked the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the UN General Assembly over its remarks on New Delhi’s action against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking at the General Assembly’s Sixth Committee, BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb said the OIC was unable to “distinguish between the victim and the perpetrator”. He stressed India’s right to protect its people from cross-border terrorism.
Deb said terrorism remains a persistent threat to India and has wider implications for international peace, security, economic progress and human rights.
