AGARTALA: Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport has introduced a dedicated Uber Pickup Zone, aimed at making it easier for passengers to book and board Uber cabs upon arrival.
With the designated zone now in place, travellers can head directly to the marked pickup point to access Uber rides, doing away with the confusion often associated with locating cabs in crowded airport premises.
The initiative marks another step forward in passenger services at the airport, as authorities continue efforts to streamline transport facilities for arriving and departing travellers. Officials said the move is expected to improve convenience for passengers, particularly those unfamiliar with the city, by offering a reliable and organised option for ground transportation.
The addition of app-based cab services at the airport comes amid a broader push to modernise passenger amenities at MBB Airport, one of the busiest gateways in India’s Northeast.
