Tripura Theka Majdoor Sangh Leaders Approach Governor After Being Denied Meeting with CM

Agartala: Leaders of the Tripura Theka Majdoor Sangh, an organisation affiliated with the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, expressed strong displeasure after they were reportedly denied permission to meet Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha to raise pending issues concerning contractual workers in the state.

Following the refusal, the union leaders approached Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, seeking his intervention in the matter. They urged the Governor to take cognisance of the difficulties faced by contractual workers and to ensure that their grievances reach the appropriate authorities for redressal.

Union representatives said repeated attempts to secure an audience with the Chief Minister had gone unanswered, leaving workers’ concerns unaddressed for a considerable period. They stressed that timely intervention was necessary to safeguard the interests and rights of contractual employees across various government departments.

The Governor is understood to have received the delegation and assured them that their concerns would be looked into.

The union leaders reiterated their demand for a formal meeting with the Chief Minister at the earliest, warning that continued neglect of workers’ issues could lead to further agitation.
