AGARTALA: Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury held an interactive meeting with investors at the Tourism Department here on Saturday, discussing avenues for investment in Tripura’s tourism sector.
The meeting brought together prospective investors and department officials to explore opportunities for development in the state’s tourism infrastructure and related businesses. Tripura has in recent years sought to position itself as an emerging destination, with the state government pushing to attract private investment to develop hospitality, eco-tourism, and heritage tourism projects.
During the interaction, the minister is understood to have discussed the state’s tourism potential and the government’s policy initiatives aimed at facilitating ease of investment. Officials reportedly briefed investors on incentives and support mechanisms available under the state’s tourism policy.
The government has been emphasising public-private partnerships as a key strategy to boost tourism revenue and generate employment opportunities in the sector.
