TCA Distributes 108 Cricket Kits to Budding Talents; CM Pledges Support

AGARTALA: In a major boost to grassroots sports development, the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) organized a grand cricket kit distribution ceremony at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan on Tuesday. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed 108 professional cricket kits to selected young players from various districts across the state.

Addressing a vibrant gathering of young athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts, Dr. Saha emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to nurturing local talent. “Our state government is constantly striving to expand sports infrastructure and provide platform to talented players,” the Chief Minister stated. He expressed strong optimism that empowering young cricketers with quality gear at the right time would pave their way to national and international arenas.

TCA President Tapan Lodh, along with other senior sports officials, attended the event. The initiative was widely praised by sports lovers, who noted that high equipment costs often deter promising players from rural areas. The distribution generated immense enthusiasm among the young recipients, marking a significant step forward in Tripura’s mission to become a dominant cricketing force in the region.
