Residents Block Road in Nalchar Over 15-Day Power, Water Crisis

Nalchar:Frustrated by an ongoing power and water crisis lasting nearly two weeks, residents of East Durlabh Narayan under 21-Nalchar staged a road blockade, demanding immediate restoration of essential services.

According to locals, the area has been without a stable electricity supply for the past 15 days, with water supply also severely affected during the same period. Residents said the prolonged disruption had caused significant hardship in daily life, affecting households, students, and small businesses that depend on regular power and water access.

With repeated complaints to the concerned departments yielding no results, residents said they were left with no option but to block the road in protest, drawing attention to their plight and pressing for swift action from the authorities.

The blockade caused disruption to traffic movement in the area for some time, as agitating residents demanded that officials visit the site and address the underlying technical or infrastructural issues causing the prolonged outage.

Local residents urged the electricity and water departments to take immediate corrective measures, warning that they would continue their protest if the crisis was not resolved soon. There was no immediate response from the departments concerned at the time of filing this report.
