Agartala: A meeting on the selection of the beneficiary list for the rooftop solar project under the ULA (likely PM Surya Ghar) model was held at the conference hall of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Monday.
Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath attended the meeting along with AMC Mayor Deepak Majumder and Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta, besides other corporators and senior officials of the Power Department.
The meeting reportedly focused on finalising the process for identifying eligible beneficiaries under the rooftop solar scheme, aimed at expanding solar power adoption among households within the municipal area. Discussions are learnt to have covered eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, and the mechanism for shortlisting applicants for the initiative.
Officials are said to have reviewed the current status of applications and outlined the next steps for implementation, though specific details on the number of beneficiaries or the project’s rollout timeline could not be immediately confirmed.
