Mohanpur : A meeting was organised under Mohanpur subdivision to brief media representatives on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, the ongoing exercise to update Tripura’s electoral rolls.
Mohanpur is one of three subdivisions in West Tripura district, alongside Sadar and Jirania, together covering 14 Assembly constituencies. The district has 795 polling stations, served by 14 Electoral Registration Officers, 42 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, 82 BLO supervisors and 795 Booth Level Officers.
Across the state, the SIR-2026 exercise began on September 5 and will conclude with publication of the final electoral roll on December 23. Booth Level Officers are conducting door-to-door enumeration from September 15 to October 14, distributing and collecting forms from eligible voters — no supporting documents are being collected during this phase. October 1, 2026 has been fixed as the qualifying date, meaning anyone turning 18 by then is eligible for inclusion.
West Tripura district currently has 6,99,429 registered voters, of whom over 91 percent have already been mapped under the exercise. A toll-free helpline, 1950, is available for citizen assistance.
