Left Youth Organisations Protest Obstruction of Blood Camp, Flag Hoisting

Agartala: Four Left-leaning student and youth organisations jointly organised a protest march from Chhatra Yuva Bhavan, condemning two separate incidents of alleged obstruction by miscreants — one at a blood donation camp held at the residence of DYFI state secretary Nabarun Dev, and another involving the hoisting of the national flag at Sonamura.

Members of the organisations gathered at Chhatra Yuva Bhavan before taking out the march, raising slogans against those responsible for disrupting the two events. Protesters described the obstruction of a blood donation camp — widely regarded as a voluntary social service — as unacceptable, and termed the interference in the national flag hoisting at Sonamura equally condemnable.

Leaders of the participating organisations alleged that such acts reflected a deliberate attempt to create disturbance and demanded strict action against those involved in both incidents. They called on the administration to ensure that voluntary and patriotic activities are not disrupted in future and sought accountability from law enforcement authorities.

The march passed through key areas before concluding with leaders reiterating their demand for a thorough investigation into both incidents and assurance of safety for organisers of similar community events going forward.
