AGARTALA: The Rath Yatra festival of Agartala’s Jagannath Jiu Temple was held amid huge public participation, with the chariot of Jagannath Bari moving through roads packed with countless devotees.
The annual festival, which commemorates the symbolic journey of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra, saw devotees from across the city and surrounding areas gather to witness and take part in the chariot procession.
The large turnout reflected the continuing devotional and cultural significance of the Rath Yatra for Agartala’s residents, with the streets along the procession route seeing heavy footfall throughout the event.
